7 June 2005 The National Library of Estonia will organise an Information Day in Tallinn for cultural organisations. The event is being planned in cooperation with the National Contact Point of IST Programme, Culture Contact Point Estonia, Ministry of Culture and the European Commission. Information Day will begin at 12:00 on 29 June 2005 in the building of the National Library. The key speaker at the Information Day is Mr. Ian Pigott from the European Commission who will speak in detail about IST Programme, 6th Framework Programme and Call 5. In his presentation he will focus also on the Strategic Objective 2.5.10 - Access to and preservation of cultural and scientific resources. It should be of particular interest to memory institutions and other cultural organisations. Mr. Tarmo Pihl, national contact person for IST Programme, will give useful tips how to write a successful proposal and what to keep in mind once the project proposal has been approved. Mr. Karel Zova will introduce Culture2000 programme and Mrs. Karla Agan from the Ministry of Culture will speak about the opportunities offered by EU structural funds. The National Library is proud to present the projects it is participating in – TEL-ME-MOR and reUSE. The Information Day will be conducted mostly in Estonian. Details will be published on the official homepage of the National Library of Estonia as soon as they become available. 3 June 2005 One of the goals of TEL-ME-MOR project is to increase the participation of cultural and educational organisations from New Member States in European research and development programmes. As the European Commission opened recently Call 5 under the 6 th Framework Programme, TEL-ME-MOR is focusing now on promoting and introducing this new call offering many opportunities for submitting project proposals in the areas of culture and learning. TEL-ME-MOR project team is cooperating tightly with FP6 National Contact Points in New Member States to gather information on Call 5 Information Days and to offer help in organising them. For example, the National Library of Estonia and the National Library of Hungary are preparing to organise special info events for cultural organisations in their countries. To find out more about Call 5, click here 2 June 2005 The European Commission will organise two Information Days in Luxemburg on 15 and 16 June. First of them will focus on the first proposal call of eContent plus programme, while the second one will deal with Call 5 of the 6 th Framework Programme (FP6). TEL-ME-MOR project managers Barbara Morganti and David Fuegi from Eremo srl will be present at both events to learn more about new opportunities and to introduce TEL-ME-MOR project. The Information Days in Luxemburg will be the first international events where TEL-ME-MOR poster and leaflets are presented.
